We are back from our travels, courses and shows, invigorated and inspired. Our on-line shop is stocked with superb beads, gifts and lamp working courses. New items are being added on a weekly basis. For in stock items postage is next day. Bespoke commissions take a few days and will be posted as soon as possible after completion.

We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Murano, Italy. We spent hours, if not days, wandering around the glass works, watching talented lampwork and glass blowing artists creating beautiful works of art. We have both come back with lots of ideas stimulated by the sights of Murano – so watch the shop, new items will be added soon.

Our on-line shop is going to stay open but shipping will be a little patchy this summer with holidays, shows and courses. Oh SOooo EXCITING…. So if you want something fast then please check with us first whether we can dispatch your purchase in time.

Hi all – just to let you know that the shop will not be open on Saturday 31st October 2015 because we are attending a Christmas Fayre being held at Anna Liz Vintage, County Court Building, Church Road, Redditch. The Fayre is open between 9.30 – 4.00pm. Come along and see us there, we will have our beads, jewellery and lampwork creations for sale.

There will be many other crafters displaying their goods, and there is also a fantastic Tea Room serving delicious cream teas.

Our Astwood Bank studio will be closed on 3rd October because we have a stall at the Headless Cross Community Orchard Apple Day which is being held from 11 – 3.00 pm and admission is free. It is going to be a fun day with lots of interesting stalls, information, toffee apple and cider tasting and a BBQ. So come along and support the local community and local businesses – we’ll all make you very welcome indeed. And please bring the sunshine with you……

We are back from our Summer Break, and the shop is open normal hours. We have some great new products in our retail shop and on line. We have added another guest artist, Vicky from All Fired Up, who specialises in fused glass. We have several of her unique pieces for sale – and with Christmas just around the corner they would make great presents.

Call in and see us, we would love the opportunity to show you our beautiful and unique lampwork, fused glass and jewellery.

I am excited to announce that we now have a range of lampwork sculptures for sale, made by Bob Thomas of Red Dragon Lampwork. He makes unique insects, beetles, spiders and birds and we have several of them available.  Just look under the Guest Artists link and you will see the wonderful sculptures we have on offer.

National Beading Week is nearly upon us and we have worked hard to get our programme of events ready for you all. It starts on Saturday 25th July with beading demonstrations at the shop. These are taking place all day and everyone is welcome to drop in to join in the fun. There will be lots of tips, and there are books and magazine available for you to look at to stimulate your creativity.

National Beading Week is being coordinated by the Beadworkers Guild and bead groups and suppliers up and down the country will be joining in by organizing fun events. During Beading Week, our events will be held at our retail studio workshop in Astwood Bank and full details are given below:

Saturday 25th July 10 – 5.30
Small beadwork demonstrations will be taking place and everyone is welcome to come along to see what is involved in small bead work.

Wednesday 29th July and Saturday 1st August 10 – 1.00 (both days)
Call in for a coffee on either (or both) days and try your hand at a free have a go beading session. There will be free information, tips and coffee.

Thursday 30th July 10 – 12.30 and 2.30 – 5.00
There will be free workshops o – ‘How to make a beaded bead’. During the workshop you will learn how to make a beaded bead (or more than one if you have time). Hints, tips and general information about beading and jewellery making will be available. All materials provided.

Friday 31st July 10 – 12.30 and 2.30 – 5.00
There will be free workshops during which I will show you how to make beaded beads into a bracelet. There will be some beaded beads available for you to purchase if you want to make one for yourself.

I will be demonstrating lampwork beadmaking every Thursday and Saturday afternoon in my studio – starting at 2.45 and continuing throughout the afternoon. No appointment necessary, just come along and enjoy watching me create unique lampwork beads.
